DMIT - Technical Course Overview

The Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology (DMIT) is a 2-year diploma program recognized by the Telangana State Paramedical Board. This course covers the theoretical concepts and clinical procedures of imaging technology used inside modern hospitals, including X-ray, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Ultrasound modalities.

At Siddartha Group, we prepare students to assist radiologists by training them on the principles of radiation physics, patient handling, safety shielding, contrast media studies, and medical film processing. Students undergo intense clinical postings in leading diagnostics laboratories and hospital wards.

Key Academic Modules

The DMIT curriculum covers comprehensive diagnostic radiography technologies:

• Radiological Physics & Biophysics: Principles of X-ray generation, electromagnetic radiation safety, protective barriers, and dosimetry measurement.
• Anatomy & Physiology for Imaging: Detailed study of human skeletal systems and organ visualization under clinical imaging.
• CT & MRI Imaging Procedures: Setting slice protocols, handling scanner consoles, monitoring patient safety inside MRI magnetic fields, and raw image processing.
• Ultrasound & Special Contrast Radiography: Supporting sonography procedures, contrast media administrations (barium meals, intravenous urograms), and emergency management.
